It is a quite long and complex journey to successfully achieve working in Australia as a medical specialist. It is not as simple as getting a job and start working. There are a number of challenges to successfully come to Australia and work as a specialist. These challenges include but not limited to you being assessed as comparable to Australian specialists in your specialist training, your post specialist training work experiences, obtaining supervised specialist positions, and employers willing to provide that supervised employment and supervised plan to the satisfaction of AHPRA. This is a complex and long journey. Standard Pathway Coaching

The fact is there are a number of challenges to successfully come to Australia and work as a non-specialist medical practitioner. These challenges include but not limited to you being successful at employer clinical interview, English language proficiency testing, recency of practice, employer willing to provide that supervised employment and supervised plan to satisfaction of AHPRA, obtaining relevant AHPRA registration. This is far from a simple journey and it can be long and complex. All our teaching staff have or had held director positions in Australia and currently working in Australian public hospitals. All of them currently teach in at least one Australian medical school. Most of all, our teaching clinicians have successfully been through AMC exams, obtained General Registration and went onto hold director roles in Australian public hospitals. Our Medical Director

Our Medical Director will be available for the 1st session as well as ongoing sessions. He will be the key person to coach you if you choose to enrol. He was an IMG once, like you he had to sit AMC exams and PESCI. He has gone through the difficult periods of studying and knows how to prepare for them in order to competently pass the exams. He passed 16/16 stations in AMC Clinical exams and achieved Level 4 supervision for PESCI assessment. He has held several director positions in Australian public hospitals and ran large medical services. He teaches in 2 Australian medical schools. He has a wide range of experience related to managing recruitment, supervision and AHPRA registration of IMG doctors in Australia. All his experience and expertise will be available to you throughout the Career Coaching sessions. He understands well the challenges of working in Australia as a junior IMG doctor under supervision, as well as the complex journey to study and train to achieve medical registration in Australia.
